I am currently evaluating two job offers. I am intending to apply to Permanent Residence under the Canadian Experience class.
My first job offer is for a Junior QA Analyst position, which would fall under NOC 2171 - Skill Level A (Correct me if I'm wrong). I can apply under CEC with this position.
My second job offer is the ambiguous one. The position is called Data Operations Tech. It is for a company in an industry I really want to work in, but from the job description is seems much less skilled (Like level C, which I would not be able to use to apply under CEC). Please see the main duties below and let me know what would be the closest NOC Code or at least the Skill Level:
-Conducting data transfers, via internet applications and hard drive
-Organizing data on the server
-Monitoring and regulating a Render Farm using [Company's software programs]
-Communicating the status of transfers to Production
Also the job compensation is given in an hourly rate (it says it's an indefinite term contract, eligible for staff benefits after 3 months). Would this mean I would be considered self-employed by the government, and thus would not be able to apply under the CEC?
