Hello all,

Please someone help me with my situation, on July 6, 2011, I received this email from Buffalo office:
Dear Applicant:
This is to advise you that your application for permanent residence has been received at the Regional Programme Centre (RPC) and that a file has been created for you. Your application and paper file numbers appear above. Quote these numbers when corresponding with our office.

Since this time, I heard nothing from them, I even sent them many emails to update my address, but the old one still appear on my account when I log in.

Please let me know what to do now, I am in USA on a student visa and I have to leave soon.

If you have any experience in such situation, please advice.

Thanks,

Have you checked if you can change your address online? Instead of just trying email, also try faxing the change of address letter and mailing it by post. Quote your file number, full name, date of birth, old address and new address and sign it.

Write to them , it's safe . Your address will get changed , don't worry.

please check this link.....

Also this link....

If you had already emailed them regarding your address change , then don't worry buddy. They might have changed it on your file.

Most of the time, address and other status change is not reflected in online status.

So , don't worry much. Did you receive acknowledgement email from CIC ?

Thanks a lot guys for your feedback, but it seems that I wasn't clear on my post, what I care much about is the delay, on my account this what showed:

We received your application for permanent residence on May 31, 2010.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the Buffalo office. They are pending review.

I know some friends who applied with me at the same time, and they already landed in Canada now, and I don't know what's wrong with my application now.

So please advice.

Best,
