I am a Canadian citizen as well as a New Zealand citizen, I have never lived in Canada and this is the first time I will be traveling to Canada (This Wednesday). My partner is a New Zealand citizen, we were hoping to have her IEC visa back before we left but it is taking it's time and it looks as though it will not be back. It is in stage two and she will be accepted soon. We also have applied for her PR but have only send the forms a week ago.
My question is, will she be able to come with me on Wednesday as a visitor/visa exempt person and then go to the US for the day when her IEC come in. Will we have any issues at the boarder office and is there any advice anyone can give to help our situation?
