Hi All,

I am going to do landing soon but I am confused where to do landing Rainbow bridge ( requires to into the US side to do the flag poling) or Peace bridge (Can just take U turn as per the posts on this forum). I am afraid of going to US side and getting the refusal letter. I heard of Peace bridge landing by taking U turn, but as I can not drive I can not go to Peace bridge and take U turn.
Can anybody let me know if there is any provision of landing on foot at Peace bridge, the same way like taking U turn without getting into the US side? Is there a pedestrian path there?

Please share your experiences..

Thanks in advance!

Hey I have the same question as cool468. I did look at the link from honeysingh where rosty gave a very informative landing procedure, however he did it at Niagara.

I'd like to do my landing in Niagara as well since I know my ways around there, however the advantage of doing the landing in Fort Erie is you don't get a rejection slip from the US. But not sure if we can do this on foot and how much that rejection slip effects later on? Will it be on my passport?

Any experience/advice would be helpful. Thanks!

Ssparkles,

The refusal slip will not affect you later. it is an administrative refusal and does not really mean you have been refused entry in the US. There is no refusal stamp on your passport. They will just give you a yellow slip which states you have been refused entry...this is flag poling and is a standard procedure....so don't worry.

Thanks for the reply yosemite. If its not on my passport I'd rather go to Niagara! You got your PPR as well right? Have you sent it out? It seems like average time to get the passport back is 2 weeks which seems like nothing compared to all the waiting we've done this year! lol

Well good peaceful times for the mind coming up!! ;D
