Hello, I know I posted a lot about my case recently and I apologize for that. I am jut tensed from the HUGE delay in my application.

as I posted. I was requested to pay additional fees of 200$ two weeks ago due to my passport type( to continue processing), and I was asked to submit my deferral letter yesterday and that's done.

my question. what are the chances of getting approval/ rejection after asking for these documents ? and whatever the outcome is, how long it usually take on average to get a response after submitting the new LOA? ( i understand that no one can tell the time, but just based on other cases if possible)

You need to obtain a TRP - right? If so, that's extremely unusual and I doubt anyone will have been through the same experience. Good luck.

yes I do, I believe that is the main reason for this delay. but it has been two weeks now and they requested the new LOA. In my un-expert opinion that the TRP phase is done and now the processing is in the decision making phase.

That's why I was wondering if requesting a new LOA is good or not.. anyway Thank you Scylla

Hey He20155182,

I don't know what to say. I'm in the same position as you.

I got a request for a "Late LOA" or a new LOA.

Based on the fact that it was early Sept at the time, I got the Late LOA, but the school only gave me a 5 additional days to turn up.

After submitting it I got a response (less than 24 hrs) from my VO that the time my college gave was too short and they wont be able to process my application in that time, so I should send in a new LOA.

So I guess we just have to wait and see how it turn out for us.

hey
sorry to hear that, but giving you another chance to submit the new LOA is good tho. did you get the new LOA and submitted it ?

Yeah I did.

I was actually notified a few hours later that it was sent to my VO.

So I'm just waiting.

Good, I wasn't notify that they got mine. It was mention on the letter that they will not say if they do or don't receive it. as you said we only have to wait and pray.
Good Luck

Just out of curiosity He20155182, if you don't mind, what was wrong with your passport? why did they ask you to pay an additional $200?
What passport do you hold?

I hope all our suffering end soon guys, just hang on...

I'm holding a Egyptian travel documents issued for Palestine refugees, so they have to issue me a TRP on order to enter Canada. The 200$ is the cost of issuing the TRP.

p.s: I applied for a visitor visa and I paid the same amount before.

yes I hope so, everyone who is waiting will get answers soon.. I didn't see many deferrals letters requests here, which confusing because by now everyone should be getting those letters

I see, good luck man.
And don't worry about the deferral request, I don't think it can be bad. Usually rejections take way way less time to be released, and especially because they are asking for more payments and more documents. I don't think they will waste your time and theirs if they want to reject it, so I think hopefully it will be ok at the end. They might ask all of us for deferral letters soon, you just applied before all of us
