Please help I wife PR & spouse being sponsored want to invite mother to Canada?

How do I go about inviting my mother in law to Canada on a visit visa... I am currently on EI (maternity leave) and I have a notice of assessment from 2014. My husband wants to invite her but since we are married and a family now (5m old daughter) we want to invite her together. Who should be the primary inviter since I am on EI? What documents do we need and is he able to apply for his mother to come here?

Need more info. Why is she coming to Canada? How long she plans to stay? What assets/family ties does she have back home to show she will return ? etc

2-3 months stay
she has 3 properties in India
all her family is there brothers n sisters

2-3 months is too much time to ask, try aiming for 3-4 weeks.

What family members does she have living in Canada now?
