Hello Seniors,

Please help me with my situation....

First of all below is my timeline
FSW Inland
CPC Ottawa
AOR- 29th January

got an update on my file on 30th of June...(basically a ghost mail and CIC changed to updated and later to submitted again)

Also got my GCMS notes the same day, they state R10 and 11.2 clear, everything else passed, criminality in progress and security not started....So hopefully I will hear something soon...

I am thinking of going to India after I get the COPR (Hopefully of course if everything goes well), and landing on my way back (I have a valid visa and work permit till June 2017).

So I intend to get married during the stay to my longtime gf, she is student visa holder in united states, basically Indian citizen and is in India right now on vacation...

So my question is how should I add her after the COPR, if thats possible... I dont even mind sponsoring her later as well coz we both have tourist visas for states and Canada respectively, and visiting each other isnt a problem....(me being in Toronto and she in New York) But I think if there is a way to declare the marriage during landing that would be faster....

So if anybody can please throw some light on the situation, I would be greatly obliged....

If you get married after you get your COPR, you MUST return your COPR to the visa office without using it to land and inform them you have gotten married. No matter what you do - do not use the COPR to land or you will create permanent problems that cannot be resolved (namely that your PR may be revoked for misrepresentation and that you will never be able to sponsor your spouse). In addition to returning your COPR to your visa office, you will also need to submit all of the forms, evidence and fees to add your spouse to your application. Your spouse will then have to go through the medical, background and security checks. Once these have been completed, new COPRs will be issued to both of you and you will then be able to land in Canada.

Hello

I added my spouse 4 months back but they did not aak mw to return copr bt just requested few forms, pcc and medical. Current status is medical pass and spouse uci number generated that was 2 days after submitting spouse docs. Its struck since then, is it that they are waiting for me to return copr?
