Hello all

I want to know I have full UK driving licence which is valid till 2021. I want to exchange that licence in Canada can I exchange my UK licence in Canada or not ??

I also have 3 penalty points on my licence which is going to expire November 2014 and I can remove this point from my licence November 2015.

In that case if my licence has been exchanged than what about penalty points they also tranfer this points also on my Canadian license or not ??

Well, the whole point of giving you a link is to read it. The answer is there. But since you appear too lazy, here a copy:

Great Britain*, Germany and Switzerland


Current, valid full class drivers licence with documentation to satisfy all three (3) identification requirements2.

*Note: The class B Great Britain drivers licence has two parts. Both the photo card and the counterpart must be surrendered at the time of the exchange. If you have misplaced either one of these pieces, an original, Certificate of Entitlement, dated within the last 6 months, issued by the DVLA must be presented in order for the exchange to take place.


As to the points, I do not think the transfer of points would make any sense. Great Britain is Great Britain, Ontario is Ontario.
