So mailed everything on Nov 17 2009 and on the 30 of Decemeber my Mp got a n email saying that my file is in queue for a routine background check by a senior immigration officer and will be reviewed upon its turn in due course.

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN PLEASE HELP

they always do background chenks, sometimes it can take from a month up to a year, depending on many factors.

3 days ago Damascus embassy asked me to fill a form that I know it is for checking my background.
Now I want to know how long does it take for me to receive passport request after background check?

Hey I don't knowa bout damus embasy but the one in islamabad is super slows, my hubby sent his PCC back in nov and he still hasn't gotten a passport request

Hi guys,

Suin mentioned already the fact that the usual time taken for BC can be varied, depending on the case, ranging from one month to 12 months or even more in certain regions. No one can say exactly what is the reason for that and any enquiry at this stage will be replied as mentioned above " pending for background check" or "in que for background check".

Just explain that you put 200 instead of 250 if they ask. I mean you admitted to it so you weren't trying to hide anything.
