Hi,

My friend is under the Live-in Caregiver program and going to finish her 24 months this August and planning to apply for PR. Her problem is that she declared that her marital status is single on her application for Live-in Caregiver eventhough she's married. But now, She would like to include him as dependent in her application for PR. Will it complicate her application for PR? Any inputs and advise will be much appreciated.

Thank you very much

Yes - it's definitely a problem. A big problem.

She misrepresented herself on her live-in caregiver application by declaring herself as single when she was actually married. CIC views misrepresentation as a crime.

She needs to consult an immigration lawyer to see what options she has (if any).

Hi Marco,

i'ts really a big problem! she need to see a canadian immigration lawyer.
i have a friend with the same experience, only she have a 5 yr old daughter.. she had her daughter come to canada, but not her husband.
since on her first application she only declare her daughter as her dependent, since that time she was'nt married yet.
Good luck to your friend, there's always a way.just don't give up!
