I came to the US on a student visa. After it expired, I attempted to renew it at the American consulate in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. The very mean immigration officers there refused to renew it, even though I was in status and my I-20 was valid, and told me to re-apply in my home country :'(. I re-entered the US and was referred to the local immigration office. The immigration officers at the local office granted me an I-94 for as long as my I-20 was valid. They also could not understand why my renewal application was denied. I finished my degree and got a job, and stayed on :

Now that I am applying to Quebec and they want a copy of my US visa, what do I do?? All I have is the I-94, since the American embassy in Juarez cancelled my initial Visa. Will a copy of my I-94 be enough or will my application be automatically rejected? I lived legally in the US before my visa renewal application was denied.
I am about to send out my application, and this visa issue is making me freak! Please help.
