Hello,

I really need help with this question.

I work in a Canadian financial institution as a Project Control Officer subcontracted through a job agency. As part of my job offer, I had to be incorporated and receive payments though my incorporated business.

I have a letter from the financial institution and job agency that states that I work with them. My main concern is if I should be applying under the Canadian Experience Class or another stream.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Oh, where to begin.

If you are employed through an agency, the agency is your employer and the financial institution is your client. In those circumstances, you would need letters from both - which you say you have - but they have to (in combination) provide all the details required by IRCC.

See "Proof of work experience" for the details required -
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/applications-received-on-after-january-1-2016-completeness-check.html

HOWEVER - If you are incorporated, technically you are self-employed and your Canadian experience is not eligible. If you are self-employed, you would receive a T4A (instead of a T4) and pay your own taxes etc. And you don't have an "employer," in that case the agency is a client too.

See the link that DelPiero provided above. Also read this:

Do you have foreign work experience you can use to qualify?

Final note: you do not select a program, you will be told by the system what you are eligible for if you are accepted into the pool.
