please advice in which category i should apply for student visa

Hello,

I eagerly wish to seek advice from members here. 4 days back I got admit from Carleton University in MEng program for September 2014 intake. I want to apply for student visa as soon as possible.

After searching online for student visa process I found that SPP applicants should apply for visa at least 3 months before traveling to Canada (canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/checklist-student-SPP-liste-etudes-PPE.aspx). I want to know if it will be applicable to my case? can you please advice under which category (General, University or SPP) should I apply for student visa?

Also is it too late now to apply for student visa? I think i'll be able to get all my documents and medical done by 10th august. Please suggest should I defer my admit to Jan 2015 intake or apply for September intake student visa?

University category is applicable to ur case. Last date to apply fr september intake was 1st aug.

If you see this link canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/checklist-student-SPP-liste-etudes-PPE.aspx at top it says: APPLICATION FOR A STUDY PERMIT – SPP CHECKLIST and in it they have mention 1st aug deadline. But since my category is university so I do not think this deadline is applicable for my case. Can you please tell me from where did you know that last date is 1st aug? I am asking this because I have searched CIC.GC.CA and there I have not found any deadline information. May be I am missing something?
Please help.

well about the deadline. my consultant told me.... it is the deadline of visa application for september intake bro....otherwise, call the embassy n ask them
