Dear experts,
My wife, two daughters and myself are PR holders. We received our Permanent Resident Cards in 2010 November and resided in Canada only for 1 month. On December 2010 we returned to our home country due to deterioration of my mother’s health. Recently my sister agreed to stay with my mother and take care of her if we leave to Canada. So, we decided to relocate to Canada permanently.
But there is one issue which is very hard for my wife and myself. We have third daughter born outside of Canada, in our home country. As per the advise from Canadian Embassy in Moscow I applied for TRV for my non-PR child. Unfortunately, TRV has been rejected. And now, I think more or less reliable option seems to be leaving my non-PR child with my sister in my home country and initiate Sponsorship for my non-PR child upon arrival in Canada.
I understant we are not in good situation having lived outside of Canada since receipt of PR. We are planning to arrive in Canada on 16 January 2014, and as per my calculation we can make 700 days (instead of 730) during 5 years. Hopefully, we can be lucky and will not be reported by the Visa Officer at the Pearson airport.
My question is:
How long does it take to complete Sponorship for my daughter ? I mean how long it may take from the date of my application for my daughter's sponsorship until I can bring her to Canada ?
I understan that legal timeframe mentioned in the immigration pages, but I guess 1,5 year baby will not undergo criminal check and some other steps that are applied for adults. Taking into consideration above can someone share information/experience on the timeframe that will take for 1.5 year non-PR child
Thanks
