Planning to visit Alberta

Hello Gurus,

I applied for PNP and I'm planning to visit Canada next month as a visitor.

In the visitor visa form, it asks "If I already applied for any immigration program"

Do you think, I can get rejected because the officials may think - I may not come back ??

Also, does anyone know what is amount of funds one needs to show to visit there ??

Please advise.

Application for permanent residence will only be considered while you send application to CIC. Merely getting a Nomination Certificate will not be considered as immigration application, However, while fill the forms attach a sheet and explain that you have recieved the nomination and will be applying to CIC in near future.

Hello Rezen, I think yes, you could get rejected, but is definetly better to state that you have applied for the program, that you lie and tell you haven't. That would definetly make things worse. Now, if you prove you are intented to leave the country within the timeframe (let's say two weeks) then you shouldn't have a problem. You can do that by having your return ticket, carrying enough money for being there the days you say you are going to be, not too much neither, or they may think you are already planning to stay there. Telling them exactly what are you gonna do, and where are you gonna stay, also if you prove them you are still employed at your country of residency and you have total intention to come back to work; you should be fine. They know people would want to check were they are going to live before they move, and even before they apply to CIC, because they encourage to investigate about the place before you go to an interview. So im sure a lot of people do the same.
