Planning on new baby while waiting for PPR

I'd like to ask you what are options are in case my wife and I decide to have a new child.

What would the impact be of having a new child at this stage of our immigration application--we completed our successful interview in LA, paid landing fees and have completed our medicals on may 15th 2006 and are waiting for PPR.

We are residing in the USA. If the child is born in US, would we need to file an application for the new baby before landing in
Canada, or could the new baby enter with us, with his/her US passport, then apply for him or her
from within Canada?

Or if my wife lands in Canada while pregnant, would that pose a porblem to our application?

We would I would very much love to add a new child to our family, but at the same time we would like to plan
accordingly before doing so.

1. If the baby is born prior to "'anding" your COPR (visa) is then invalid and you would have to return the visa and add the baby to your application.
2. They is no problem with your spouse landing and being pregnant, remember though she will not be covered in most provinces for medical until the 3 month waiting period is up.

Hi!!! We went thru the same thing, but I was already pregnant when we got the PPR's. We were advised by the lawyers that it was better for the baby and the application in general that the baby was born right in Canada; that way, she could have both citizenships, and no visa paperwork or ammendments to the application needed to be filled. We landed in early March, and the baby was born end of June, so we already had medical coverage and we only ended up paying for a private room at the hospital. My advise? If all possible (even if you have to pay for the birth) have the baby in Canada. I wouldn't wait for PPR's to try to conceive, as these are things you can not control and take some time... Good luck!!!...

Hi,

I would appreciate your advice on my dilemma as noted below:

I had submitted my family (2+2) medical in January 2013. Today I have received the PHEP request (London office). My wife is over 7 month pregnant and I am in the middle of switching jobs (within middle eastern countries). Neither my wife can travel till babies (it's twin) are born nor I can afford to take time off from my job.

Would it be advisable to send an email/letter to VO requesting them to defer my PHEP request till new babies are born?

I understand I will have to send fee, birth certificates, passports for newborns (and re-medical for all as previous one will expire in Jan 2014)

Do you any any suggestion for me?
