Hi,
I mentioned Toronto/Ontario as the place where i intend to live in Canada when i would land there.

Can i land in Calgary/Alberta?

Is there any specific rule/law about it?

Thanks.

Where you have mentioned? e.g. in initial application, full application or in landing papers ?

I mentioned Toronto in initial application (sent to CIU) and full application (to CHC ISB).

so the question is that when i get the Visa, then instead of Toronto can i land in Alberta?

I guess Visa is given for the Canada so landing at different state should not a problem... Worth double checking though...

thinker038,
You can land anywhere in Canada. It doesn't matter where you land, all Canada major port of entry has the Immigration counter facility and staff. Your file # and details are on their database, which can be accessed from all immigration facilities.

The data they collect on the form is preferred choice, which the applicant would wish to land and live and is for statistic collection purpose.

However it is better to land initially at the place mentioned in the IMM forms and then you may move to any other location to avoid confusions.

All the best
