Place of Birth different in Passport and in Birth Certifiate.

Hello all,
I am from India and my born year is 1987. Recently I've found my old birth certificate. However, I also found that "Place of Birth" is in passport is different from my birth certificate as it was made from my school's leaving certificate.

Now I have 2 months to complete my process for Ontario PNP.

Please suggest me what should I do? Do I need updated passport or affidavit for that is okay?

I suggest for you to update your Passport as it is an official government document. This will serve you down the line when applying for EE as well.

Shouldn't matter for the purposes of OINP unless your birth certificate indicates a different country from your passport. CIC doesn't ask for birth certificate from PA so this won't matter even later in the process even after you get your nomination and ITA.

Do they consider my school L.C. too? Because now I have applied for re-issue my passport with updated "Place of Birth" but my school LC still have old "Place of Birth".

Do I need to change my school leaving certificate too? or no need to change?

My suggestion is to get a new Birth certificate or sworn affidavit, since you have a lot of other documents showing the same place of birth as your passport.

That documents is never asked for as part of OINP or PR application so there is no need to change that document for these purposes.

Thanks.

Submit the passport and birth certificate to OINP. Place of birth is a minor detail in the overall scheme of things provided it is the same country in both documents.
