Hi,
Newbie here. I'm currently in Canada on a tourist visa, looking for a job. Once I am able to secure a work permit and positive LMIA, is there a way for me to get a work permit from within Canada?
I've been reading up online, and the general consensus is that it is not possible. I've seen a caveat in the IRCC website though.
For a new work permit, you can apply:
from your home country or another country where you are lawfully admitted. Follow the instructions on how to apply for a work permit, or
in person or by mail at the Visa Application centre in New York.
Anyone here have experience applying for a work visa at the Visa Application centre in New York?
Thanks!
