Is it alright if I ask, were you affected by Typhoon Yolanda? Because as far as I know, this is the only way that applications from Manila VO can get approved right away.

Yeah,I saw your timeline after I got my application no,we are mostly in the same case.and I'm so glad that they responded it quickly,I'm from iloilo but we are not afflicted with the thypoon yolanda,I'm residing at the southern part of iloilo city.for sure soon they will going to request your passport too.

You are not affected by the typhoon but some parts of Iloilo are, I think. So, you did not do anything??? At all?? You are one lucky gal! So where in Canada are you headed? I swear. I am so green with envy right now!

Reply;typhoon yolanda devastated northern part of iloilo,well,after my husband filed our application we were just waiting for the next steps.he can't even believe how fast they approved our application.for sure soon you will get some good news,just keep praying.thats our secret.. .my husband live in Toronto.

Totally lucky if you didn't do anything at all to get their attention and just been given that visa at a very short time! WOW!! Whoever that VO may he/she work his/her hands on our application that quick too

VO must have thought you were affected by Typhoon. Only way would have been processed that quick.
Congrats you are one of the " lucky one's"
I am an August applicant, not a word from Manila.

Wow! Congrats! Up until now i think cem still prioriting applicants from visayas area. Thats why we havent heard news about releasing passport request

The long waiting times are a result of volume of Applications. For yours to be done quick VISA Office physically pulled your app. out of the mountain of others. Most sit in que until all received before are done. I think CEM is giving priority to apps. From the Visaya's as post before says.

Count your blessings, again congrats.
