Hello Friends and respected seniors,

I have put so much time, effort and money for this fsw application and don’t want to get rejected because of the photo issue.

The picture I took for new born son does match the specified size (35mm x 45mm), however the picture measurement from chin to crown (22mm x 30mm) doesn’t seem to match, and it’s always coming litter bigger than it is required(it’s about 40MM ). I don’t know it’s because of his head size or my photographic skills but is there anyone who knows if this will be the problem?

should I retake his pictures? I know I will not have enough time if this packages gets returned (for NOC 2171) as well considering the fact that I am still waiting on my first package to be returned which was sent about 3 months before without ECA report.

Please suggest!

The following shows what is acceptable, and what is not. No one is going to take a scale and measure those distances. It is just a matter of the face being clearly visible.

I suggest having a passport photo service take the photos. Be sure to bring the photo specification page with you.

Thanks guys!

I ended up using the web site below which actually converts your picture to specified size for FREE :)

https://www.epassportphoto.com/

and I printed 4X6 size out (each 4x6 will have 4 PP size pics) for 29 cents each so I spent less than 3 dollars for all three of us.

If you are in US, this might be something you want to consider. (If you go to photo service center, they will ask for 12.00 dollars/each person)

Better use a ruler and make sure they fit the specs.

epassportphoto is a great service. One can really save a lot when compared to the drugstore passport photo ripoff. Only thing is that you have to have a nice single photo beforehand.

As for me, I clicked it myself, edited the background, and created a 8x10 sheet featuring both of us. Came down to $0.25 a photo, as compared to $4.5 minimum otherwise. Saved $50 in total.
