Hi

I have a Belgian masters degree in physiotherapy and rehabilitation science. It is my goal to work abroad and Canada is my preference.
I'm traveling in Australia now, because there are random jobs I can do so I have financial security while traveling. I have met a lot of Canadians while traveling and they say that Canada is a good country to live in.
Is there a demand for jobs in health care in Canada?

Some Canadians told me that it's very hard for Canadian teachers to find jobs in their own country, but I'm not sure about physiotherapists from foreign countries.
How do I find out whether my college degree will get approved or not? I come from a very reputable university but countries like Australia refuse to approve any non Australian degree. I have no idea about Canada. I can't risk coming over and then find out that there is no work for me.

Is there generally a demand for physiotherapists? I just left uni so I don't have much experience yet.
I just want to gain life experience and professional experience in a different country than Belgium.

Hi,
i think gettin your credentials recognised in canada.. ur first call is with the alliance physiotherapy.
check out their website at www.alliancept.org and apply for credentialling.
This process will take up to a year as per their current processing times
You can start this process from your home country before you leave

After successful credentialling, you will need to take the Physiotherapy Competence exam(PCE)
before U can practice physiotherapy .
Meannwhile you can join a physio thread for more info
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/noc-3142-physiotherapists-t55359.0.html
You will meet more physiotherapists there to answer ur querry

Hope this helps.
