Hi all!
Have a little confusion re Occupation/Canadian certificate of qualification.

My NOC code that I have experience in primary is 31101, Specialist in Surgery. 8 years resident training culminating with successful completion of the residency and passing my applicable board exam to be a certified surgeon in my specialty. This position has ended and promptly started a fellowship thereafter.

Fellowship has a different NOC, but is my current job. NOC 31100; Specialist in clinical and laboratory medicine. This fellowship is 1 year in length and if/when I get my PR, my plan is to apply for a surgical position and not a position as a specialist in clinical and laboratory medicine. I do an aspect of surgery in this position as well but the school summited with LMIA exemption the NOC 31100

Hence my confusion. My current job is a different NOC then what I think I should put as my "primary occupation" or the job I have experience in and want to base my application on.

Have an immigration consultant but they seem to think this is a problem, but I wonder if its confusion regarding the medical field/residency/fellowship vs becoming a staff.

Also if any physicans in this process happen to know: what is the date became first qualified to practice in this NOC? Would it be start of residency or the date of successful complete of boards?

I am sorry if the wording of this is confusing
