Hi, Working on our citizenship applications and unsure of whether its needed to pull entry exit records from the CBSA before we do this. Specifically, I am concerned about day trips to the USA from Canada, crossing by land, when I don't have a perfect log of when that happened. On the CBSA website, it basically says, don't do put in a request for records if you're applying for citizenship! But many folks on here seem to have done it. I had heard one could pull entry/exits via NEXUS, but can't seem to find a way to do that. There does seem to be an online way to pull from a passport, but this seems to be based on USA I94 forms, and doesn't apply to us (we're US citizens).
We're well clear of the physical presence requirements. Probably in excess of 300 days of buffer for me, and more like 400 days of buffer for my partner. In both our our cases, I have pretty good records of when we crossed the USA border. I don't think there are any extended visits that went unaccounted for, but it's possible a day trip to Bellingham, or a trip to the post office in Point Roberts, WA was missed. None of these are overnighter trips, just same day in and outs.
Its it worth trying to track down records for our application? Or is a trip or two across the border that might be missing from our list not going to be a problem when we have such a large buffer of time for the residency requirement.
