Doesn't matter - better use ascending order and what the officials check would be the gaps if any. In the work history, dont forget to include "unemployed" (if applicable) with the dates.

One more question.
In section F (Work and Education history) it says:
If you were not employed (i.e. you were unemployed, retired, homemaker, etc.) you must indicate the reason for being unemployed and confirm the dates of your unemployment under "Work/Education" and indicate the time period.
For my case, for the period I was unemployed, I would put the dates then put Unemployed in the Work/Education and put Actively looking for a job in the employer section. But what if the person is homemaker such as my wife, where will she put the reason and what would she write ?

You may put "Homemaker" under the Work/Education and put "-NA-" in the employer section. I assume your spouse did filed taxes since landing though income is NIL.
