Hi,

I got my COPR papers and I am intending to do the landing at POE by land. I will go to US border and turn back. I understand that I can not do flagpolling and I need to enter US. For how long? Is couple of hours are sufficient?

But my main question is- do I need to bring my photos (stamped by photographer) again to do the landing? I sen photos for my COPR papers and one of the papers have the photo on it. Do I need photos again?

Many thanks

1. You don't have to enter the US if you don't want to, you can get an administrative refusal and return to the Canadian side to "land" It is called "flagpoling"
2. No, there is a photo on your COPR which is used, if it isn't up to scratch the CBSA officer can and should take a new one.

Thanks for the reply.

1. On the letter attached to COPR letter stating that: "Please note that you must leave Canada, enter another country and re-enter Canada at the Port of Entry to become a resident at a Pot of Entry". I did flagpoling before but I think I can not do it to land because I would not enter another country an get refusal...

2. Thanks. I hope they will use the photo they have for the PR cards (I understand that the officer should sign and give back to me the COPR with my photo to me)... So they will use the photo I sent to them when sent the papers for COPR...

1, An administrative refusal is classified as leaving the country.
2. No, you don't get the copy with the photo, the officer keeps that copy.
