photo from printer?

Hi all
i want to know that is it ok for me to send printed photo from my color printer rathe then actual photos? any exprience to any one pls update.

I sent both actually...marriage photo's I sent the original photo..but for trips and visits I sent printed pictures...CIC likes the originals though...They will return all your photo's once the process is finished

- Whether they return stuff: that depends on the VO. Some don't, so do.

- Printing (in good quality and color) should be fine. For my application we are putting all photos in a Word document with captions describing when/who/where/what is on it and printing that. All our photos are digital anyway, so there is no such thing as "original" photos.

I've no idea how CIC will feel about it, but all of my photos were colour copies from our printer. We don't even have any "original" photos. Everything was digital. I suppose I have some on a data card from my camera, but one camera died during one of our vacations and has long since been thrown out, so even those would be limited. Heck, most of our photos are from our phones now. Thank goodness for facebook, or we wouldn't have been able to gather as many photos, even to just print out.

This is true who actually gets photos developed in this day and age..everything is digital..I think Immigration will take that into consideration.

all the pictures we sent (300-400) were printed from our color printer.
the only original pictures we sent were the small PR pictures (similar to passport photos)

In Korea, you can get your photos printed on the COSTCO internet site. They have 1 hr service. Just upload them online and pick them up at your nearest costco. This is cheaper (better quality) than buying ink and photo paper for your printer.

My cousin sponsored her spouse and she gave all the original photos..those were 4r sizes..they gave it all back including the printed chatlogs and original postmarked letters..if they wont give it back im sure u have a backup and print it all again for yourself..i guess the v.o's wont hoard all those pics coming in the mail daily! lol..developing fees wont matter as long as your applications get approved in the end..goodluck!

Yes,
my husband was a failed refugee and our immigration consultant told us to make a timeline journal of when we met to when we sent the app.
so we did it like that and that was 2 years worth of events and the failed refugee was a red flag, so we figured we would rather be safe than sorry. and it paid off, approved without an interview

Also, we didn't get any pictures or evidence back at all, except the original birth certificate of my husband.
But I do know for a fact even if they don't return your evidence at the time of issueing COPR.
You can send them a letter requesting all of the info returned to you, the mainly keep it in case an appeal is needed, but if not they can mail you back all your evidence as long as you pay shipping costs.
I know of a lady who asked for her evidence back 2 years after her spouse was approved and they returned it without any problems.
