I am planning to apply for Canadian study permit would like to know how many photographs are required. Also for in person application take how long for visa processing.

Thank you

If you go to the CIC website it will tell you that you need two photographs. They have to be taken with the last six months.
You need two photos passport size your name and date of birth on the back.
The best thing to do is go here:
Go to the CIC website:
Homepage under
Come to Canada
click Study >
Study Permits>
How to apply>Go to the bottom of the page click on Documents Needed to Apply>
go all the way to the bottom of the page and click on visa application photograph specifications.
It's so much easier if i can just post the link!

Thanks for your response. I was confused as the document checklist calls for six photographs. So 2 should be fine right?

Depends. Eg the embassy where I belong to says that "two passport-size photographs for all persons included in your application; additional photographs will be required if we request you to have a medical examination..."

So check first whether you need this medical thing.
