skype!, i know its free on the pc it has video chat too, im not sure if its free on phones though (maybe need a wireless connection).

make your spouse install on his pc the Free phone line logiciel. he/she needs just a number from a canada and of course you have to create an account. its free and he/she can call u on ur cell or homeline like my husband do!!! so praticle and you save lots of money and yeah skype is very good too!!!
