** This may have been an "asked and answered" question. If it is, please point me to the forum link**
I am a Filipino citizen and a Canadian immigrant. I am planning to go home next year, first week of February. My passport will be valid for only 5 months then. I don't have enough time to renew it and I plan to renew it in the Philippines through rush processing. Here are my questions:
1. I know that my home country will not turn me away, but will the airlines allow me to book a return flight?
2. I heard that there is no longer a "rush" Philippine passport processing. Is this true? If it is, what are my options?
I plan to call the DFA tomorrow and the Philippine consulate for advice, but I'd like to hear from fellow Filipinos who have experienced the same thing.
Thanks.
