I am a first-year Ph.D. student at U of M.I have applied for my study permit together with an open work permit for my wife. Unfortunately, it got rejected stating a reason that "The marriage is not genuine enough".We applied the visa 3 weeks after the marriage providing them with the translated marriage certificate as a proof.
As my first attempt getting a work permit for my wife was a failure and I am thinking of applying for a TRV for 6 months. She has a strong financial background and family ties, Also she is holding a permanent lecturer position in a private institute and also she can get a job leave from her job.
Would you please share your experiences of getting approved a TRV for my situation? and further considerations I should look for?
Thank you
