PhD just after MSc without work experience in Canada

Hello all,
im planning to do my PhD just after my MSc. (so i don't have one year post graduation work experience) and im going to another university in different province (so i cant apply for provincial nominee too). Is there any way to tackle the situation and get qualified for Canadian experience class?)

Of course once you complete 2 years in the PhD program there is the PhD stream of the FSW program, but it sounds like you want to apply ASAP.

please identify the two provinces...

If you have worked as an RA/TA for the equivalent of 2 years of full-time employment (at least 24 months AND 3900 hours), then you could apply through the foreign worker stream of CEC.

It is possible that the work requirement will be reduced to 1 year & 1950 hours in the near future:

im now in SK and will move to ON after my masters , i dont think that many hours i TAed (4hrs/wk x 3 yrs ). i can wait till 2nd yr of my PhD (but who knows what will happen to immigration rules in 2 yrs?) or i should apply for normal skill worker class. what will be the best "?

Both CEC and the other 2 FSW streams have work experience requirements, and I agree that you won't meet the CEC requirement with 4 hours per week. I think your best bet is the FSW/PhD stream.

You're right, things can change, but the PhD stream is new and will likely still be around in 2 years; and in Ontario, of course, once you earn the PhD there's the PNP -Opportunties Ontario program:
