Hi,
I hope somebody will give me a good suggestion here and I would appreciate every suggestion.
I want to get clarification about this scenario:
I am a PGWP holder; working in a full-time, permanent position. My work-permit will expire in March 2016.
I am going to visit India in Dec and will come back in Jan.
I just received positive LMIA from Service Canada and I have updated my express entry profile. Probably, I will get my name in the next draw.
My questions are:
Should I renew current permit with LMIA permit? or should I wait for express entry draw? But I don't have enough time to apply for PR before I leave. But I can apply PR from India as all the paper work is online.
Is it mandatory to convert my permit when I cross border? I don't think so, because my current PGWP will not expire that time. Or I can get a LMIA-permit when I will come back in Jan.
Please suggest me what will be the right step in this scenario?
