PGWP status on passport damage

Hi all,

I have a Post Graduate Open Work Permit which is valid up to February 2017. Recently my passport got damaged and I had to apply for re-issue of the passport. The new passport will have new number and validity either up to 2017 or beyond that.

On my post-graduate work permit, I can see a Travel document no. which corresponds to the old passport number (which got damaged). Since I will get a new passport number, will that affect the status of my existing PGWP ?

I would need to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa on the new passport, based on this work permit. Will there be any issues regarding this ?

I had same issue, my PGWP has my old passport number. I applied TRV and stamped on new passport but now I am going to apply PR. Would it create problem in PR Application?
