Hello all. Unfortunately, I received a letter of refusal from CIC. I thought only 1 time of part time studying is not that critical.

Let me tell my long story to you guys.

After I graduated from a high school in BC, I attended a college to transfer to the University (SFU). For 2 yrs, I recieved enough credits and fullfilled GPA to transfer to SFU. After that, I went back to my home country for 2 years and 4 months to serve for a military service (it is mandatoy for Korean men).

After the service, I came back to Canada and started to study again in SFU. I maintained full time for first 2 semesters (summer 2016, fall 2016) but I took only 2 courses in Spring 2017 term to change my major. (Dropped one CMPT course to change my major as computer screen influenced negatively on my eyes)

In the mean time, I applied an exchange program to study in my home country's university and i got approved, so I did not take any course during summer 2017 and took full time courses in the exchanged university (Fall 2017).

Then, I backed to Canada to continue my studying and have maintained a full time student, even in my last semester. (From Spring 2018 to Summer 2019).

I know it is my mistake as I did not read the eligibility of PGWP, so I feel so regretful that I took 2 courses.

And I also feel it is so unfair as some of my friends who took some part time semester received 3 yrs PGWP.

I dont know what I have to do next. I may go to see a doctor to get doctor's opinion that I had to change my major despite of eye sight problem (both myopia and astigmatism)

If you guys leave any advice, i will be so thankful to you guys aid.

Unfortunately you have been correctly refused, you can only be part time in last semester so I don't think you can overturn this. Was that one semester with 2 courses stated as reason for refusal? Sometimes officers forgive the odd semster like that but it's the official rule.

Consider if some of the other immigration options are open to you & if you qualify. Else consider taking another course & staying in compliance.
