While applying for the off campus work permit in 2014, I provided the details of my previous employer that I worked for back home in my country.
Should I provide that details after putting student ?

Do I have to upload Document Checklist [IMM 5583] form as well with my application?
Yes, you need to upload it along with your supporting documents, upload it in the Letter of Explanation section.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your reply. I will upload both the forms and the supporting documents.
But please look at my above questions in regard to filling up part time work permit details in employment section of the FORM IMM5710E.
I am so confused, I have to start a full time job and I have not enough time to apply for PGWP. I am also not financially good to afford any agent or lawyer for guidance.

Hi Jay9091,

I'm guessing you want to fill out your record of employment for the past 10 years. The first step is for your to fill it out from current to past (for the last 10 years). From one current activity/occupation to the other. Using 2004 or 2005 to date would be perfect.

Assume you've hard a mixture of work and studying. And it doesn't matter whether it was in Canada or outside. Therefore, include what you've been doing both outside Canada before you came and in Canada with your student work permit (WP).

To make it easier for you, fill the employment section bottom to top. This will help you keep track and to avoid gaps. I know there could be a gap prior to getting your WP. In that case indicate student as current activity/occupation and the company should be your college/university.

I hope that helps.

Cheers!

Hi Jubear,

First off I want to thank you for atleast providing me an answer on this , but see my question is very complicated and i request to please read my situation carefully :-

" I have had two part time jobs on SIN during my full time studies. One job was on campus at college which was 5 hours a week , started jan 2014 to april 2014 , then started sept 2014 to november 2014 and lastly jan 2015 to march 2015. (same job title for different durations at college)

Also, I had another part time job 15 hours a week off campus continously from july 2014 till present date.

All I am asking is that i dont know whether i should put both the jobs or not? What if the officer gets suspicious that i might have worked more hours since i was having two jobs. I am worried if things got worse?

Please Please i ll be very thankful if anyone comes to my rescue here..!!

Hi Jay9091,

I'm glad you've now provided more information. Do not worry its not complicated at all. Secondly, you have the right to work both on-campus and off-campus as long as its within 20hrs/week. CIC officers understandably know that hours are hard to come by and that one can have two jobs. I have worked two different jobs myself to utilize my assigned 20hrs/week. Here is an example of how you would go about it in your case.

FROM

1. 2014 07
YYYY MM

TO

2015 05
YYYY MM

FROM

2. 2014 01
YYYY MM

TO

2015 03
YYYY MM

Like I said before, most current to previous ones. No suspicions there. Its honest and laid out. So go ahead and fill in the other blanks and submit your application. Don't forget to pay the extra $100 for the OWP holders, in addition to $155 for the PGWP.

I hope that helps.

Cheer up, its all good!

I was saying about being suspicious is that we never mention the no. of hours we work in the form. And I am worried what if i have gone about 20 hours in a week? ( I have tried my best not too but i think i might have in some weeks)...

The employment section doesn't ask you for the hours you worked. It simply wants years, position, and employer name. Period!

Its okay to worry, but the more you worry and wait, the more your time (90 days) runs out. And the longer it will take for you to get your PGWP (currently 68 days of processing time).

Also, try to avoid applying after your SP has expired. That will be more trouble.

As usual we are here to help each other to succeed.

Cheers!

Not current month of job. The month when your current off-campus work permit is going to expire. . So check your current OCWP.
