Hi experts,

As many of you are, I am still waiting patiently to receive a communication from CIC requesting medicals or anything concerning my PR application.

My PGWP expires in June 2016 so in exactly 3 months from today :-X
I may and I may not have heard back about my PR application by then so my question is

As a PGWP holder, do i need to have an LMIA to be able to get my BOWP application approved? Or it is not required?

I don't want to be on implied status, but at the same time I don't want to apply now and then get my BOWP refused and have to leave the country so I am seeking advise here if PGWP holders require LMIA to have their permit extended or bridged or no?

Thanking you all in advance :D

No You don't need LMIA for BOWP.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/prov/bridging.asp
All you need is File number(AOR) , Current WP expiring within 4months , present in canada

I recommend to apply BOWP soon, be careful submitting a complete application, with AOR, a good letter of explanation and right fees ($255+$100, per person).

Online is 136 days, paper is 97.

You're old CEC applicant, I think only AOR is needed to meet eligibility, but if you want to play safe, apply online a month before your PGWP expires.

Unfortunately you'll be sometime on Implied Status, if you want to minimize it, apply ASAP paper based.

Your best chance was apply for BOWP paper based 4 months before PGWP expires but it's too late.
