Hello, I just finished 4 years of undergrad and am going to apply for PGWP.
But there is one thing that I am very concerned about, that I was originally going to do a master's but now I decided to apply for PGWP.
I will explain all the things about the application:
- My undergraduate program graduation is this month, September 2025 (expecting to get the completion letter within a week)
- My original study permit expired at the end of July, 2025
- *this is the part I am worried about..* I applied to extend my study earlier in July (before it expired) with the admission letter to a master's program.
- I am under maintained status, as the extension application is still in process.
- I recently got a job offer from a company, so I want to apply for PGWP.
- I am planning to apply for PGWP as soon as I get the completion letter.
This is everything about my current status, and I am really concerned that IRCC might think my application is weird and might refuse PGWP.
Because I read that under PGWP, you cannot study full-time, and the study extension that I submitted conflicts with this.
I am going to defer my admission to a master's program, because I want to work first.
I need advice on this. If anyone is in a similar situation as mine and got rejected/approved on their PGWP, could you please share?
