PGWP Extention due to passport expiry

Hello, I was wondering if you can apply for a PGWP extension due to passport expiry through an online application? I see some folks here have done that and gotten their extension approved. If possible, please advise how to do it and how long it took to get the application approved. Thanks!

Yes you can apply for an extension with your new passport if you are entitled to a longer PGWP period. Attach a LOE.

oh for real? do you know where I can submit this application online? I believe my current PGWP does state that I can apply for an extension but on the IRCC site, it says that extensions are done through paper applications.
