Hello
I have some questions. I studied in canada for 2 years and got my 3 years of pg open work permit.
Now my work permit is expiring in sep-2022.
I have valid job but I have to extend my work permit.
I have not applied for any pnp or pr program yet.

so do I need any LMIA for extension of my work permit?

Yes, your employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA if you want to work beyond September 2022 and if you haven't applied under EE or PNP by that time.

Well, no such thing as "extending" a pgwp.

Several options as I know before , if you want to stay in Canada, obviously:
1. If you have at least 1-yr full time work experience then go for CEC and wait for the next draw. Apply for BOWP along with PR after you have received ITA.
2. Ask if your employer is willing to apply for LMIA, then get a new job-specific work permit.
3. Get PNP nomination and go for EE, then BOWP as mentioned in option 1.

My experience: if you want to do something, do it now. IRCC/provincial governments are extremely slow for almost everything after covid starts.
