So I got an email today from IRCC saying I'm eligible for the PGWP extension, as announced a few days ago. One of the requirements say
I have two citizenships (Honduran and Colombian) and hold passports for both countries. I was living in Honduras when I applied for my study permit, so I used that passport for the application, and I've been using the same one for every application after that (PGWP and visitor visa). This Honduran passport expires in Oct 2024, making it ineligible for the PGWP extension. To renew it, I would have to travel to Ottawa, about a 7 hr drive from where I live.
On the other hand, my Colombian passport has a later expiration date than June 2025. Can I apply for my PGWP extension with my Colombian passport even when my current PGWP and visitor visa are in my Honduran passport?
Validate that your passport information is up to date and has an expiration date of June 2025, or later.
