Hi,
I am currently working in Quebec on my PGWP after graduating from a Quebec university. I am planning to apply for CSQ via PEQ and then for PR. However my PGWP will expire around the time I would be able to apply for PR after getting my CSQ and will need to extend it. I read about OB 420-A (LMO exemption for certain CSQ holders) and OB 485-A (Bridge open work permit) but I have a few questions:
1. As someone with PGWP in Quebec, am I eligible for both the options i.e bridge open work permit and work permit for quebec with LMO exemption?
2. It seems that to get the LMO exempt work permit I do not need to make a PR application first. Right?
3. Does the LMO exempt work permit application require any steps to be done by the employer...apart from giving a offer letter/proof of employment?
3. If eligible for both, is it possible to first get the LMO exempt work permit and then the bridge permit in case my PGWP is still valid when I get the AOR?
4. Any other advice from anyone who has extended their PGWP in Quebec?
Also, when my PGWP expires, my wife's PGWP would still be valid for another year. As someone with expired/soon to expire PGWP, is it possible to apply for a Open work permit as a spouse?
Thanks,
Vineet
