I was issued a PGWP March 2023 that states it is valid until March 2026. My passport was valid until February 2025 and in a former name. I updated my passport with the new name.
I read online that the PGWP cannot be issued beyond the validity of the passport, but mine was issued for over a year past the validity of the passport. I never received a letter about extending my PGWP.
I am applying for EE this month and based on current points should be eligible in one of the first CEC draws.
Is my PGWP valid until March 2026 as it says? Do I need to apply to renew/extend the PGWP even if I did not receive a letter/it was for the full time? Is my PGWP still valid? Will any of this effect applying for Express Entry?
Any advice is appreciated.
