This is probably a long shot, but I have to ask if there's anything I can do.
My work permit expires in May 2015, I was employed for 4 months and since then I have been applying to a lot of places not being able to find anything, now I'm running out of time and I'm unsure what to do from here, either somehow I'm able to find an employer in the next month or I'm at lost.
Is there any way I can extend my work permit? Or any other options I might have that would allow me to get another work permit? I am a Mexican citizen and I am common-law with a Canadian citizen, PR is probably the best option I know, but I just don't have the money to apply for it at the moment, and without a job I don't know when I will be.
Please let me know of any possibilities I have regarding getting a work permit. I will not be able to afford my PR if I'm not able to get a job and help pay the household debts and if I can't get one, will I have to leave the country? I've lived here for over 3 years and I really don't want that to happen.
