PGWP expiring lmia application to be done

hello there,
I have a PGWP and it's expiring December 22nd. My employer is willing to apply for the LMIA. However, they have only posted the job vacancy on the three websites as of today. Hence they can only apply for the LMIA after January 6th.
I only have 1 year work experience and I have completed a one year certificate program so I do not have the required points to apply for Express Entry as yet. I need more work experience.
What are my options to remain in legal status.

Stop working on December 22nd and before that apply to extend your stay as a visitor. You can stay legally after Dec 22nd pending a decision on your visitor extension .
