Hi folks!
My current employer is trying to arrange a 'valid job offer' for me as my current job has all the requirements except it isn't permanent/for one year.
Now I am very confused about the LMIA.
I submitted my PGWP application on January 3rd, I am therefore still waiting for the decision as it takes about 30-40 days I believe.
As far as I can tell on the CIC website, PGWP-holders do not need their employers to apply for a LMIA.
Although, other parts of CIC says you might?
I know a lot of rules changed after November 19th, this might be one of them.
Is anyone else going through something similar while on or waiting for their PGWP?
I hope someone can confirm that I do not need my employer to apply for a LMIA...
It is a research job at a university, skilled level A, NOC code 4012.
Thank you in advance!
