PGWP doubts

Hi,
I'm Jeet Vaishnav, I have completed my 15 years of formal education from India and now wish to study further in Canada. I'm planning to do a one-year PGD program in Jan 2020 and then a one-year masters program in the same field in the next year. but I have a serious confusion that while I'm pursuing my PGD I cannot apply for my masters till my results don't come out, so I cannot start my master's course immediately after my PGD is completed as an application for masters in university start 6/8 months prior. so ill have a vacant time in Canada for almost 6/8 months and I cannot apply for my PGWP as I won't be able to re-apply after my master's degree.
so please help me out of this situation.

PGD- JAN 2020- JAN 2021
apllication for master's- Jan 2021 for fall 2021 or Jan 2022
so will have 8 months to one year gap.

Applying for a PGWP means you are changing your status in the country from student to worker. Which means that if you are planning to do master's after, then you will need to apply for a study permit again. So not sure how you will have that gap in between as remember that when you apply to study in Canada your "study permit", NOT your "student visa", will only be valid for the length of your study. Thats what I have seen so far.

However, if you have a valid study permit and you are a full-time student then you may work while you are studying and you don't need a work permit, which will be indicated on your study permit.

You can apply with your bachelors marks for the masters. You can including your 1st semester PGD marks and you may get a conditional offer if you maintain your PGD marks or they may not care about your PGD at all.
