PGWP at the boarder

Hello,

I have completed my Master degree in Canada, and I'm going to apply for a post graduate work permit. (I have already received the 'graduation letter' from my university).
Currently, I am in Europe, and I will be back to Canada in a couple of weeks.

I would like to apply for the PGWP at the border when I enter the country, to avoid waiting too long for the online procedure.
First question, is this possible?

If yes, which document do I need to bring with me? Do I need to fill in the "application for work permit (imm1295e)" which I found online or it wouldn't be necessary?
Any additional info would be very beneficial!

Thank you,
Axel

I don't believe that this is an option.

Assume you realise that the moment you submit your application that you are on implied status pending a decision so can start working straight away so even if were possible other than getting an instant approval or refusal would not buy that much.

That only applies if you already have a valid status as a worker.

Dont you mean valid status on a study permit and authorised to work off campus with that permit which assume the OP meets those conditions, they just happen to be outside the country at the moment but can still apply online ?

Or are you referring to an application at the border which we do not think is an option for a PGWP anyway.

Just wanted to clarify that just applying for a PGWP doesn't automatically mean that you can start work. It's conditional, as you point out.

I was reading on this forum about people doing flagpoling to get quicker the PGWP, I don't know if it's still an option...

Since now I'm working in Europe I'd like to get the work permit asap to evaluate possible options in Canada. Also, for the online application I'd need to apply from 'outside Canada', would this affect timing or outcome?

As you say, others appear to have been able to do this at a POE in the past. Maybe it is still possible but deliberately not advertised by IRCC.
As you are no longer in Canada, there is nothing lost in attempting to try this on your next entry, assuming that you are both eligible and prepared. Fully completed forms would be sensible. At the worst they could simply refuse to process it.
