Hi Team,

I have a question regarding my wife's PGWP application. She received a notification from IRCC that requested her to submit a proof of language proficiency results. She submitted the IELTS results as a proof via the IRCC portal inside her application where she saw a new option to upload the language proficiency score document. Then IRCC also sent an acknowledgement that they have received the results.

But upon closely reexamining the original request document she noticed that it states the following:

This is in reference to your application for temporary residence. The following documents are required to
continue processing your application:
> TEF: Original TEF language proficiency results (photocopies are not acceptable). Your
application for a Post Grad Work Permit was received on or after November 1, 2024. As such it is
required to provide proof of language proficiency. Please submit a copy of your language test. This must
be received at this office by: 2025/02/10

My Question: Since they asked specifically for TEF, but in the application she has not indicated anything that would warrant a need to provide French language results should I be concerned or check with IRCC to get clarification via a webform? Because as per the instructions on the IRCC website it says that an applicant can either provide English or French language proficiency results as proof.

Thanks a lot in advance!

It could be just generic. You can call or raise a web form with your concerns.
