Hello,

I want to apply for PGWP and in the application form I am required to give details regarding visa denial from any countries including Canada, in the past. My US visitor visa was refused in January, 2015 with note that I can re-apply for the same after some time. Do I need to mention it in my PGWP application? if yes then how can I mention it without creating negative impact?

Thanks in advance.

Yes - you must absolutely mention your US refusal and provide the details (remember that the US and Canada share records). Failure to mention all refusals is misrepresentation which will result in your study permit being refused and a potential 5 year ban from entering Canada.

Well, i never mentioned it in my application(i said NO in the applicaiton). My room mate, whose US visa got denied 2 times before coming to Canada and 2 times in Canada. None of us mentioned, infact we didn't read the question properly.

@Ravi_ Patel,

I strongly endorse Scylla's advice. It is always better to mention the required information in ur travel history nd the IMM form.Should VO happen to check ur details from their record , it may create problem for u.Further more,if CIC gets to know from any source that some one has procured Canadian visa by way of concealment of facts or misrepresentation , the person will may be deported irrespective of his/her residential status.

So,please be truthful in providing information. Denial of visa on previous occasion may not hamper ur chances now, if ur application meets the required criteria under which it is to be reviewed.

Good luck nd May God bless all !!!
